"Popping" Fun Activity

Who doesn't love Dr. Seuss books, right?
They are full of goofy words and rhymes, unusual characters, and often spur cool activities related to the books.
I read the story, Hop on Pop to my students and then they got to do the coolest thing ever...sit on a balloon and POP it!  After have a "POPPIN' GOOD TIME" the students built words and shared them with their friends.

So much learning took place during this fun activity.
We have to do it every year!

Read With My Teacher

Playing with letters, sounds, and words in kindergarten is a joy to us!  One of the most important things we do as teachers is teach our students to have fun while learning to read.
Want to share with your parents how happy and confident of a reader their child is becoming!?!
Try sending home “little paper emergent readers” with our “parent helper” sheet attached.  Your students reading confidence will grow!

We believe this will help strengthen your relationship with each of your parents while reinforcing the skills your emphasizing in the classroom.

Label The Teacher And A Friend!

After the students label the teacher...
they can label a friend!
Amazing teacher pictured above ~ Mrs. Julie Lee

Our students had so much fun!
The most excited part of this activity was finding out who they would label!!!

Labeling a picture is an important part to learning to write.  This is a fun way to help beginning writers develop confidence in becoming an independent writer.
This "Label a Friend" freebie is our gift to you!
Enjoy your holiday break with your friends and family!
