| As a class the students took turns pulling an item out of the birthday bag. They would say the name of the item and then name the vowel sound heard. Then we would write the word on the correct line. |

| The students had a POPPIN' good time making words. First, they had to pop the balloon by sitting on it. Then the students built a word with the letter tiles inside. |
