Our counselor asked us to participate in a Red Ribbon Week bulletin board contest. My kiddos made our mummies, as in past years, but we tied it into the Red Ribbon Week theme.
The kiddos had to cut out a traced oval shape on black construction paper. Then they glued on spooky eyes. The fun part was gluing hand-ripped white construction paper on the head to make it look like cloth-wrapped mummies.
Each student had their own unique way of wrapping their mummy heads!
Here is a portion of our bulletin board displayed in our hallway. If our plotter printer had cooperated, I would have made the title for our bulletin board much bigger!
The project is quite simple to prepare, and the kids love it! Give it a try!
My bestie, Amber, gave me this idea of how to make these
spooky mummies when I started teaching 5K! Love it!
Enjoy!
