My whole classroom is GREAT....I can do anything GOOD in it....I like my students....I like my pens....I like my thematic centers.....I like my secret password....I like my sharpies....I like my velcro.....I like my poka-dots....I like my word wall...I like my cooks....I like my custodians...I like my secretaries...I LOVE my aides....I like my picture books....I like my technology (most of the time)....I like my revolving reading corners....I like my whole classroom!....I CAN DO ANYTHING GOOD!!!  That is teach each and everyone of these adorable~precious little kiddos that enter my classroom no matter what challenges I face!

P.S.  Does anyone else get SPAM comments all the time on their blog posts?  I get like 10 a day under different posts.  I try to delete them A.S.A.P.  I mean they are always giving me compliments....but really want me/you to visit their site.  Any help would be appreciated!

I Love To Love You....Blogging Friends

We had a "SWEET" time during our V-Day!  Our day is filled with Hugs and Kisses.  First, we read the story, Kiss me, I'm Perfect, by Robert Muncsch.  Then we graphed which Hershey Candy we like better....HUGS or KISSES.

Then the class was set up in 9 different KISSABLE centers.  The students recorded their work throughout the day in their special....Hearts and Kisses...booklet.

I know it's late having this unit on TPT or Teachers Notebook...but if you want to put it on your WISHLIST for next year {Click Right Here}

We ended the day making these A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E Kisses!  When I saw these on Julie Lee's Blog, I knew I had to make them.  You can find her sister's unit, Valentine Unit (1st-2nd grade), by clicking {right here}.  The students really enjoyed making these and writing about what they would not kiss!  The girls got bows and the boys got mustaches!

I just had to share this one, too.  It just makes me SMILE!

P.S.  Here are the students' Valentine Gifts I gave out this year.  Click {right here} for the freebie!

Did I mention....I LOVE CHOCOLATE!  Forget Love....I'd rather fall in chocolate!!!

Enjoy Your Weekend, Amber

Friendship Unit and Exciting News!!!

One of our favorite months to teach is February.  In the month of February, we teach two themes ~ Valentine and Friendship.  Right about this time of the year...our students always need a little reminder on how to be a good friend.  This unit is special to us because with all the expectations demanded of our little kiddos, ultimately we realize how important it is to have friends!  They make learning more engaging and fun!

Here are some pictures of our Friendship Unit...hope you like...much~much more is included in our unit that is not pictured!

The students will use a mirror to read the sight word or phrase that was text to them.

If a student rolls a side with a girl and boy the friend they are working with at that center gets to pick the number.

The students will search the room and write the words found.  Then he/she will read the sentence to the teacher.  (A true friend is a gift to keep.)

As a group the students will brainstorm things for each category.   Write at least 3  in their friendship booklet.

We have a friendly surprise for you!  We just opened a TPT shop and would love to GIVE AWAY 3 Friendship Units.  All you have to do is...
  • Go to our Teachers Pay Teachers  Shop and follow our shop.
  • Leave a comment on our blog post that you followed our shop with your e-mail address.
This giveaway will run until Monday at Midnight!

You can find this Friendship Unit in our Teachers Notebook Shop and our Teachers Pay Teachers Shop.

Happy Week Everyone!  Thanks for being a "GREAT FRIEND" and reading our blog!
