I Believe!

We had a HOLLY JOLLY time making our Elves and Santa Clauses for our Hallway Bulletin Board.  4K made the elves and 5K make the Santa Clauses.  I worked really hard to come up with a title for the bulletin board...do you like it?

I had to give a close up of this adorable elf.
My student told me many times that he wanted his elf to look like Cookie Monster.
I think he did a pretty good job...Don't you!?!

Tis' the season...Enjoy it!

  1. Hi Amber,
I'd like to know if there there is a template for the elf in a packet of yours or did you just do it free hand? It's adorable! I really want to do this activity with my students.

  2. Pearl....I will try my best to explain what we did in the classroom!
Face...I traced the face with a ice cream bucket lid and the students cut it out. I used 2 different size die cut circles for the eyes and the students glued them on. The students made a line with the glue bottle for the smile and added red glitter. I think this was their favorite part! For the ears I gave them 2 squares and they had to try to cut out an ear shape.
Hat...I folded a 81/2 by 11 sheet of paper in half and then opened it back up. The students had to cut from the bottom corner to the crease in the middle on top. This was a little tricky...but made all the hats their own shape! Then the students had to cut stripes out of the opposite color of paper, glue them on, and cut off the strip that was hanging over. Last the gave them a piece of white paper that was 10 by 4 and they had to tear around the whole outside of the strip. This was a little tricky!
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions! Enjoy your holidays!!!
