Bug Swatting Fun

We try "BEE-ING THE BEST" at creating activities that are academic and engaging, but also invite movement and promote FUN in our classrooms.
The students get un"bee"lievably excited
to slap the words on the white board.

We decided it would be fun if they were "BUZZING"
around the classroom, too!

Clip art is from Graphics-From-The-Pond.
Can they "BEE" any cuter!?!

LOOK HOW HAPPY
ALL OF OUR STUDENTS ARE!?!

THEY COULD NOT WAIT TO BE THE KIDDO
WHO GOT TO SLAP MY LEG!

Spaceship Spaceship Game

One student is the "SPACESHIP"
while the rest of the class is chanting the words pictured below.

Another student will hide the alien behind one his/her friends in the class.

Don't ya love his smile!?!
The students had so much fun!

Wait...is there any learning taking place!?!   YES!!!

The "SPACESHIP" gets 3 guesses to find the alien.

To make this a learning game...you could have students holding shapes, letters, sight words, etc. flashcards, and the student/spaceship would have to say the concept on the flash card before guessing.

If you would like to play this game
(also known as Doggy, Doggy, Where's Your Bone?)
in your classroom...CLICK HERE!

If you read this blog post...you are "OUT OF THIS WORLD". Thanks!

Rainbow Rainbow Classroom-made Story

This is my favorite story that we make together to hang in the classroom.  Plus...I love this time of the year...snow be gone!

On each page, I will have the students work in groups of 2 or 3.  I try to use as many different art materials as we can.  The students can be so creative sometimes.  I would have never thought of using poms poms for the inside of a flower or tin foil for lightning!

When the pages are completed, I hang the story by fishing line in the middle of our room to read over-and-over again!

If you would like to use this activity in the classroom...
CLICK HERE to grab it from our TpT shop!

Have a FaBuLouS weekend!
